Chinese New Year Movable Snake
How we did it:
- pipe cleaner (2)
- jinglebells (1)
- wooden beads - various sizes
- marker - (optional, for eyes)
My son is more of a realistic when it comes to creating. He chose green pipe cleaner for his snake while my daughter made a hot pink snake! We gathered a few more things and got to work.
First, We added a jingle bell to the end of the pipe cleaner and twist the pipe cleaner to hold it in place.
Next the kids threaded the wood beads on their snakes. This is a favorite for my two-year old and great for fine motor skills!
We went from smallest beads to larger beads to create a tail look to our snake.
At the top we twisted a small piece of red pipe cleaner around the remainder of the green to become a scary snake tongue! My kids chose to not add eyes, but you can easily use a marker to give your snake some eyes.
Our snake came together perfectly and was so fun to wiggle around and have some silly snake fun!
