Finger Print Indian Corn

Finger Print Indian Corn

Fall and Thanksgiving are some of our favorite times of the year and we love to celebrate by decorating. There is nothing better than little hands and fingers creating something special!

Ages:
2 - 6
Est. Time:
<30 mins

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. construction paper - green and yellow
  2. scissors
  3. glue stick
  4. stamp pad - we used brown
  1. To make the corn cob, I traced the shape and helped my 3 year old daughter cut it out. Older kids can do this step themselves!

  2. Next, I traced and cut out some green husks. My daughter asked me if it was "corn"? I said yes and she set to work gluing the husks to the cob.

  3. Next, it was time to add the kernels. My daughter pressed her finger tips into a brown stamp pad, then pressed them down onto the cob.

  4. She even got pretty good at using more than one finger at a time!

  5. When the cob was full of kernels, we hung it up and she said, "popcorn"? Guess it was time for a snack! But, in the meantime we all got to enjoy her little finger prints as the Indian corn. :)
