Flower Wreaths

Thankfully, we've been getting a lot of rain in our area, so our garden has been in full bloom this spring. I decided to take advantage of the lushness to create a flower wreaths -- just in time for Mother's Day!
This project would work just as well with fake or store bought flowers and greens.
How we did it:
Materials List
- floral wire
- scissors
- flowers
- floral greens (optional)
-
Gather your materials!
-
Use your floral wire to create the base for your wreath. Continue to loosely wrap the floral wire to create a thicker, sturdier base. The extra wire will help secure flower stems in place.
Tip: You can also use pipecleaners for this step, which might be an easier material for younger kids to use.
-
Cut stalks of floral greens and thread them through the wire to add fullness to the wreath base. Tuck the stems into the wire or trim any excess as needed.
-
Once the base of the wreath is finished, decorate the wreath with bright, cheery flowers.
-
Try making wreaths with other flowers and wreath shapes!
