I think my daughter is inheriting my love for vintage. When she asked for a crown made of lace, I got teary eyed. Then I grabbed the lace and some glue and we got to work! With a few simple materials we made a crown that would be so sweet for a day of dress-up, Halloween, or just any day at all.
How we did it:

I mixed some glue and water (about 3/4 glue to 1/4 water) and Emma spread a thick coat right onto the lace. She questioned whether or not this would work. Honestly I did too.
This was so quick and easy and I love that Emma was learning a new technique to make something she had been wanting.
I laid the lace over a tree branch to dry just a bit. It looked so pretty there I wanted to make a few more just to lay on the tree branches.
Once it started to stiffen up we pulled it down and Emma got to work adding the bling! We used tacky glue and some gems to really make this crown sparkle.
When she was done we connected it with two staples and our crown was ready to be worn. It worked! I love teaching my children to be resourceful and creative.
Seriously, this came out so sweet and I love that Emma and I could create it together. I foresee many more lace crowns in our future.
