Minty Green Play Dough

Minty Green Play Dough

We made some green play dough for St. Patrick's Day that smells so yummy. It was a lot of fun to play with and got us craving some mint and chip ice cream!

Ages:
2 - 4
Est. Time:
<1 hour

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. flour (2 cups)
  2. salt (1/2 cup)
  3. cream of tartar (2 Tbs.)
  4. oil (3 Tbs.)
  5. frosting creations mint packet
  6. boiling water (3/4 cup)
  1. Play dough is great, but scented play dough is wonderful! Such a great sensory play activity for little ones to explore with. We took our regular dough recipe to a new level with a packet of Frosting Creations.

  2. Add all ingredients to a bowl. Boiling water should go in last.

  3. Mix it up until a sticky dough forms and dump it onto a working surface. Add more flour if the dough is too sticky and knead until you have a nice soft dough.

  4. We added cookie cutters, birthday candles and rocks to the mix and the kids had fun making green cakes and mountains.

  5. I don't know any child who does not love play dough. We had a great morning playing with this play dough that smells delicious!
