New Years Glasses

New Years Glasses

In our home, we love any excuse for a festive mini party. As much as my kids would love to stay awake until midnight, they're a bit young for those festivities. Instead, we have our own New Years celebration on New Years Day. This year, we're getting a  little crafty to welcome 2018.

Ages:
3 - 16
Est. Time:
<30 mins

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. foam sheets
  2. white glue
  3. scissors
  4. marker
  5. printable
  1. Gather your materials!

  2. Print the 2018 printable and cut out all of the shapes. Then, trace them onto the foam and cut each shape out carefully. I had to help a bit with this step. In particular, cutting out the inside of the glasses and numbers was a bit tricky.

  3. My kids had a lot of fun arranging the numbers on their glasses. You can place them where ever you want, although you might want to make sure that you can still see through the glasses! Glue the numbers in place and let them dry.

  4. Then, fold back the arms of the glasses. While we waited for the glue to dry, we also cut out colorful bits of confetti from our extra foam. We found that that these are much easier to pick up than paper confetti.

  5. Now you're looking stylish and ready to ring in the new year!
