Roll and Decorate Christmas Tree

Roll and Decorate Christmas Tree

This fun Christmas game is the perfect way to sneak in a little learning about colors, numbers, counting, and reading a chart.

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. chart (pictured)
  2. christmas tree shape
  3. die
  4. pom-poms
  1. To get ready for this game, prepare a chart on a piece of paper by writing the numbers 1-6 on the left and putting a color by each number. Cut a Christmas tree out of paper or use a foam tree shape. Collect pom poms: red, orange, yellow, green, and blue.

  2. To play, roll the die. Point to the number on the chart that you rolled. Put that colored "ornament" (pom pom) on the tree. Once all of the colors are on the tree, you win!

  3. We worked together at first so that it wasn't such an overwhelming game. She'd roll the die. I'd count the number of dots on the die and she'd find that number on the chart.

  4. I love how quick and easy this game is to set up and play. We were able to play several games in a short time which gave her plenty of time to practice counting and working with numbers.
