"Salad Bar" Valentine Station

I love offering my children a variety of different materials and seeing what happens. I like to think of this as a "salad bar" style of art. I did this with an assortment of things to create some homemade Valentines with them. The finished cards were better than I could have expected!

  1. I grab a few things from our art supplies that I thought Emma would enjoy working with. You can use anything for this, from glitter glue to aluminum foil! I placed everything in small containers. You could even supply little tongs for extra fun!

  2. I didn't have to say a word and there was glue being spread and yarn being cut. The abstract creations that come from these sweet little minds just make me melt. Emma loves this kind of independence as she creates.

  3. All of her Valentines came out perfect and not one is alike. Now that is a Valentine I would like to receive!
