How we did it:

Materials List

  1. green cardstock (1 sheet) - Cut out clover leaf shapes.
  2. pages from an old book (5-7 pages) - Use pages from an old book for the framework of your bunting or use another patterned paper.
  3. buttons (5-7) - For the center of each clover leaf.
  4. stapler
  5. string - Long enough to hang your bunting on.
  6. gluestick
  1. Using your book pages, cut out 5 (or however many you'd like) rectangles approximately 3.5" x 6" in size. Snip out a triangle shape from the bottom of your rectangles. (Hint: From left to right, find the center of your rectangle then measure approximately 1 3/4 " from the bottom to find where the top point of your triangle will be.) Cut out the number of shamrocks you'll need from green cardstock.

  2. Attach shamrocks to your banner pieces, being sure to allow enough room to fold over the top edges. Place a button in the center of each shamrock. Now you're ready to put your banner together! Cut your length of string, fold the top edge of the banner pieces over the string & staple. Space the banner pieces evenly along the string by sliding them back and forth as needed. Now hang it up somewhere and enjoy your new St. Patty's Day decor!
