How we did it:

Materials List

  1. watermelon
  2. blueberries
  3. cutting board
  4. knife
  5. star-shaped cookie cutter
  6. ice pop molds
  7. lemonade
  1. To start making this treat, have an adult cut your watermelon in half, and then into large 1/2" thick slices.

  2. Use your star cookie cutters to punch out your watermelon stars!

  3. Carefully place your star in your popsicle mold, and pour lemonade into your mold, leaving extra room for the blueberries and popsicle handle.

  4. Drop some blueberries into the popsicle mold.

  5. Stick the popsicle handle into the mold. Make sure your molds are secure to avoid any spillage. Put them in the freezer until they're ready to enjoy!

  6. After our first few molds were set, we created other patriotic designs, such as a blue and red striped popsicle! To create colorful stripes, cut out watermelon bars and layer them with blueberries.

  7. Enjoy your treats!
