Bead Ballerina

How we did it:
Materials List
- beads
- large button
- elastic string or thin wire
-
If you don't have an extra large button, you can make one easily out of clay or paper.
-
I cut a 12-inch or so piece of wire and folded it in half. I showed Maddie how to not pull the bead all the way through the end,
-
then we tucked a rubber band through the end to make a stop point.
-
We made the arms next.... I cut another piece of wire to about eight inches, then she just wrapped it once around the wires, just below the head.
-
Maddie chose a long glass bead for the body, and threaded it on through both ends of the wire. Next came the tutu! One wire end through each buttonhole.
-
The legs were finished, and wrapped and tucked in, then finally the arms. "I have to find something fancy first," she said, "for big, puffy sleeves!"
-
All finished! And ready for the stage!
