Clothespin Pom Pom Fairy

How we did it:
Materials List
- clothespins
- permanent markers (e.g., sharpies)
- yarn
- pom pom winder
- paper
- tape
-
Start by grabbing your pom pom winder. Tie some colored yarn in a knot on one end.
-
Next, keep winding the yarn around the winder. The more yarn you use the bigger the pom pom will be.
-
Adult time! Take the yarn that is hanging and loop it around the middle and tie a knot so that the yarn almost looks split in half.
-
Now, pull off the yarn from the winder. I also helped my daughter do this part, but older kiddos could do it themselves!
-
Next, take your scissors and snip all the loops on either side so that all the yarn is sticking out. Fluff it out too!
-
Now, take your closepin peg and decorate her with your sharpies however you like! My daughter gave her a face and some shoes. :)
-
Next, choose some fancy paper. My daughter chose this cool metallic pink kind. Cut some wings out of the paper.
-
Now carefully slide your pom pom over the clothespin peg. I helped my daughter with this step but older kiddos could do it themselves!
-
Now, carefully tape the fairy wings on the back. My daughter was getting excited!
-
Now enjoy and let the magic begin with your new fairy friend!
