Face Paint Pretend Play

Face Paint Pretend Play

My daughter loves face paint and would rather be on the painting side of things. We came up with a way to make her shine: her own little face painting station.

Ages:
2 - 8
Est. Time:
<30 mins

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. doll - an old doll that you don't mind staining
  2. washable paint and brushes
  3. baby lotion
  4. tray or plate
  5. sponge
  1. If you don't have any old dolls you can easily find a few at a thrift store for a dollar or two. Our paint dolls get used over and over again.

  2. First we mixed a little baby lotion with kids' washable paints. This way they dry like face paint. They wipe off easily so you can start over again.

  3. I cut up a new kitchen sponge for the kids to use to wash their dolls' faces.

  4. My kids ask to do this almost every day. I just love hearing them ask their dolls "so, what would you like to be today?"
