First time she cleaned her floor

My daughter loved painting the whale putting it together and cleaning her room with it. She had a lot of fun learning while doing.

    Fun and useful

It was a fun project that my 5 year old daughter and I did together. It’s fun and useful to clean up small toys. Highly recommended!

    Art + Engineering

My 7 year old LOVED it! (Especially the painting.) Both the 7 yo and 9 yo sibling enjoyed experimenting with what it would pick up (Nerf darts, Legos, Bananagram tiles, army men)!

My 4 year old loved it and played for hours!

It was such a nice project for a 4 years old to be involved from the beginning to the end without feeling overwhelmed. The booklet that came with the crate set a stage for my son to see this sweeper as a living creature (whale) and helped him imagine a story of his own and engage in self-directed play. My son is usually easy to get distracted so this was a true surprise to us. There is something about 'making your own toy' that probably make kids feel so much closer to the item.
Overall amazing quality except the tray where it collects pompom is flimsy. The part is made of paper and it ripped after few runs. I recreated the tray with durable plastic I cut out of my clear binder covers. Now it works perfectly and will withstand weeks of play! Hope Kiwi Co will re-introduce this project with more durable material so that this amazing project will deserve the hours of play it should!

    Functional and fun

It was so fun for my daughter to build! It was one, more complicated project that was easily understandable. I loved the comparison of the mechanical sweeper vaccum to that of how a whale eats.

    Art and engineering

It was a fun combination of arts and mechanics that provided a great learning demonstration. My daughter loved building the sweper just as much as painting the whales.

    Picking up legos

We liked the different elements: painting, building, creating something that has movement, and then playing. Loved that it truly worked and could pick up a variety of objects -- especially functional for picking up legos!!

    A New Favorite

My 6 year old son loved it because it was easy enough to build (almost) by himself. He was very proud and liked both the artistic aspect of painting the whales and technical aspect of building the sweeper. His favorite kit so far.

    Fun to build and play

My daughter loved putting it together. She loves playing with it as well. She was so excited about it that she took it to school to show everyone. Well done!

    Great for Legos!

Useful product once completed, steps to make sweeper were easy to follow and my 5 year old is still using it to clean up his toys at night. (Great for Legos)

    Love the utility of it

Fun and straight-forward to put together AND the result is useful. Instead of more stuff laying around, this actually serves a purpose. It's great for sweeping stray legos.
