    Proud of his work

Figuring out the wiring and circuits seemed intimidating to my son, but seeing the end result with all of the colors was well worth it for him.

    RGB Fun

Learning about the electricity of color was super interesting. Plus the video tutorial was very reassuring to my daughter. Thanks KiwiCo for all of the RGB fun!

    Light it up!

My daughter was able to be very hands-on with this project. Once the crystal was lit she was absolutely amazed that she created that!

    Females in STEM

Really saw my daughter's intuitive nature as she was doing this crate. She took to the instructions very easily and was able to understand the science behind color. Future female in STEM!

Impressed by the quality and ideas

I am very impressed by the quality of these crates. I am always excited what amazing project will come out of just a cardboard box! A light up crystal that changes color.. RAD!

    Excited for electricity

There are so many cool aspects of this crate, but I think my son's favorite part was being able to use selectricity to create this project. He is very into engineering.

    In depth explanations

The instructions were easy to follow so my daughter was able to do it all alone yet still felt challenged. So awesome that she was able to build an electronic from scratch and learned a variety of different skills. She was genuinely amazed at the end result. The completed project is now used as a lamp on her night stand!

    Tinkering time

This project was so interesting and unique. My daughter loved figuiring out the circuits and mixing different colors when she was done. I love that she's learning about circuits and the physics of color all in one project.

    Build a working circuit

My son loved the engineering and building of each item. It was a beginning to learning about electricity with the added excitement of mixing and blending colors. It required attention to detail because the wires had to be properly plaed but the reward was super high when the colors came out as intended!

Kids learned some basics of electricity: flow, open and closed circuits, and resistance.

It was a nice visual project that allowed the kids to learn some basics of electricity: flow, open and closed circuits, and resistance. It also allowed me to introduce them to RGB and I was able to show them pixels in an old TV and show them how three colors made up the entire picture they see. It also illustrated the RGB color settings that they have seen in some art programs on their laptops. Before it really had little meaning other than random numbers that changed the color. Now they have a firm understanding of what is happening there.

Son was excited to use wires and electricity to build the crate.

It was simple enough that he could do most of it by himself, but did it with his dad to make sure it was right. This is one he was proud of when he made it and even took it to show and tell at school and called his Grandma on Skype to show it off. Something about making things with wire and electricity really got him excited and he was proud that he was able to do it.

Granddaughter loved the construction process and combining the different colors.

the granddaughter loved the process of construction and combining the different colors to learn about what makes white light. she was extremely proud of the finished product, as well.
