Light-Up Lantern

My daughter loved this it was a super first build for her.

Bought the lantern for my 8 year old who loves using the real camping lantern around the house. Daughter loved it and assembled it in about 15 minutes with no assistance. She has been carrying it around at night since she built it.

The final product looks exactly like the picture. My nephew (7) and I put this together over the Christmas holiday. He's a good reader and has the mind of an engineer, so assembly required only occasional adult intervention. I was more of an assistant and trash collector. He was so proud of his work!

A bit long, repetitive and tedious build for my almost 5 year old's attention span. She lost interest around half way through and I had to finish it for her (and I was tired building it too, tbh). Nonetheless, the instructions were easy to follow and the result was awesome. My daughters still play with it a few weeks later. I just wish the internal lantern's on/off switch was easily accessible from the outside without having to unscrew the jar each time.

This is a great little project! Loved it all. Bought two, one for each of my kids. Good challenge on the instructions for them and they loved the end result. Only complaint was that the entire project is essentially held together with foam stickers which sadly didnt stay stuck together for long once we hung the lanterns up. Had to use elders glue to keep together.

It was easy and fun but you have to open the whole jar to turn ON/OFF the light.... not for a practical use.
