What you get
Concoct a batch of colorful, conductive slime. Engineer a basic circuit, using your slime as a conductor to light up an LED (and a love of science!). Then conduct a series of electric experiments that showcase the science of switches, resistance, LED color-mixing, and more! Explore the science of polymers — all while having a slimy good time!
From the desk of the product designer:
Behind the design
“You might think you're familiar with slime, but are you familiar with conductive slime? We took a custom slime recipe and added in electronics for a next-level "whoa, awesome" experience.”- The KiwiCo Product Design team
By the numbers
Types of glue tested: 7
LED experiments included: 4
Awesomeness level of slime that channels electricity: infinite!
My goal these days is anything I can do to get my daughter off screens is a big hit. We had a good hour and a half full focus on this. BIG hit. The slime was the draw but the surprise at the circuit was the ultimate winner.
While our 7 yr old could follow some directions - he still needed some help decoding: the BEST part was all the experimenting : grapes, corn cobs, water, glycerine soap!!!! We wished the battery lasted longer!!!
Challenging but not impossible for my 7 year old to read and execute and he loved it.
