    Lasting Fun

My 5-year-old did this with her grandparents and has spent the next week doing shadow shows and explaining how shadows works to me.

    Great kit!

Our 5yo LOVES this kit! It's hands down his favorite KiwiCo kit we've done over the years. He keeps going back to the colored shadow project - he's played with it everyday since we opened the box last week.

    Awesome

My daughter had a great time building the light. It was easier than we thought it would be. Plus she loves being able to make all sorts of different colors.

    RGB is amazing!

Building the projector was my daughter's favorite part. It allowed her to work on her engineering skills and also allowed her to work on her artistic skills. She loved seeing the color projected!

    Let there be light!

The overall theme of this project was interesting. Learning about the primary and secondary colors along with the spectrum of light was very interesting to my daughter who is actually very interested in art right now.

    Lessons on color and light

My favorite part about this crate was being able to be creative but also learning about the science of color and light! My son played with it a lot even after he was done building it.

    All projects were educational

Who knew so much stuff could come out of that one box! There were so many different cool projects, between the light jar and projector, it was so cool! We had a blast making it.

    Resourceful learning

STEAM education can be difficult to provide as a parent, however Kiwi Crate has been a life saver! Their information is resourceful and their projects are so hands-on. I loved this Rainbow Optics crate and am so happy we got it this month.

    Colorful theme is cute

Kiwi Crate has done it again! This crate focusing on color and light was not only educational, but such a fun activity for the whole family to take part in. Watching the different colors come to life made my daughter really happy.

    The light jar is awesome

The color mixing light jar was a hit. He kept rotating it and having a blast watching all of the colors. There was so much information on colors and light in the magazine. It was a great learning experience.

Detailed and simple projects for the kiddo

Due to the amount of projects, my son was a bit intimidated at this project at first. However, once he started, he found the directions to be really easy and the projects to be really exciting. His favorite was the projector.

    Customization

The rainbow box provided three fun and creative ways to learn about the color prism. The wipe off sheet kept my daughter busy for hours making different pictures to put in her light box. I loved that it sparked her creativity with the customizable designs and patterns for the mini lantern.

    Fun and colorful

Every project helped build on my 5 year old's knowledge of primary and secondary colors. The kit was so easy to assemble and every step was thought out well. My son loved it, and further piqued his interest in light and color. The accompanying literature was helpful and interesting as well.

    Studying light

My son absolutely loved the color glasses. He wandered around the house looking at all the different lights for hours, including the Christmas tree lights. I also loved the mixed color lights lantern because it was something he can keep and enjoy in his room as a mini night light.

    Mostly good

My daughter really liked making and playing with the projector. It was disappointing that neither of our red lights worked when we got it.

    nice experiments

My daughter loved putting the viewer together and doing all the experiments with the bracelet in the sun. She also enjoyed coloring the sheets and watching them glow in the UV light. She was able to follow along with the directions to figure out how to put it all together.

    UV Light Fun!

I loved that each piece had other activities to further my son's experience. It made the fun go farther than one project. We could enjoy doing multiple things which was great for him to really start understanding UV light. We really enjoyed the crate and I can say his favorite part was making the bracelet and having something he could wear and show off.

    nice family activity

We loved it. It was nice to sit down with our little girl to watch her and help her with her crate. We enjoy an evening of family time without being in front of the screen.

interesting, but little young for 4 year old

I liked that my son was interested in making and using the ultraviolet light viewer. Some of the steps were too hard for my son to do on his own (opening and installing the brads) so I needed to help. He's only 4, so maybe that's why, but I would love for him to be able to complete it on his own.

    Perfect for my grandson

My grandson loved everything about the crate! He got bored when it came time to read all the info about UV lights but...I read it to him and he loved it. We still have some things to try from the materials but enjoyed doing the experiments and look forward to some crazy jello.
