Behind the design
“We were inspired by spiders in the wild and their super motion-detecting senses! Instead of electronic sensors, these real-life creepy crawlers use tiny hairs and slits in their bodies to feel miniscule vibrations, like when prey gets caught up in their webs.”

My grandson had a great time building this! His mom doesn’t like spiders so he loved teasing her!

It was difficult to get it to work at first but once working it was great!

It was a lot of fun, loved it so much we give it 10 stars but only for about a day and then it stopped working so hard to take off 6 stars for the very short lifespan

This was a really great and fun build. My only qualm is that perhaps a note should be included to warn that the command strips don't stick at all to surfaces with flat paint. The paint should at least be semi-gloss. I don't think that its the fault of the project -- I tried with my own velcro based command strips as well and had the same result (and yes, I did clean the wall with alcohol beforehand). But it would have helped to have known this beforehand, because before I realized this, it kept falling off the wall to the ground and I had to keep fixing it (still works even after multiple tumbles - haha).

This is cute, but the motion detector didn’t work well.
