Reindeer Headband

The holidays are a fun time for us and we just love Rudolph! He is our favorite reindeer so we decided to make a headband of him to wear!

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

    We began by cutting a strip of dark brown construction paper to make the headband. I helped my 3-year-old daughter with this, but older kids can cut it themselves!

  • Step 2

    Next, we carefully traced my daughter's hands with a marker on the light brown construction paper. She guessed that her hands were going to the antlers!

  • Step 3

    I helped my daughter carefully cut out her little hands.

  • Step 4

    Next, my daughter put glue on the back of each antler hand print.

  • Step 5

    And she pressed them down. At this point, we started to sing "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer!" She could see it coming together!

  • Step 6

    She cut out a red nose, glued it down, and I helped her draw the eyes and eyelashes.

  • Final result!

    Lastly, we added a mouth and taped it carefully around her head. She couldn't wait to wear Rudolph!
