Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

I cut a recycled coffee cup in half for this basket. It was a great way to teach the kids to reuse and recycle!

  • Step 2

Emma got to work on each craft stick. She used markers to decorate the sticks in spring colors.

  • Step 3

We used tacky glue to attach the sticks all along the side of the cup. Tacky glue works the best to hold them in place while drying.

  • Step 4

Once they were all on we added a ribbon around the basket to make it extra pretty. This also helped to hold everything together.

  • Final result!

With a hole punch and pipe cleaner, we added a little handle. Emma headed straight outside to collect some newly blooming flowers in her sweet basket.
