Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

There are three different options for the sticker adhesive. We opted for the flavored gelatin and water mix. Alternatively, you could use plain gelatin and vinegar, or white glue and vinegar. Of course we went for the one that would taste the best!

  • Step 2

For the flavored gelatin glue, we just boiled a bit of water, and put one tablespoon of gelatin and two tablespoons of boiling water into a jar. We stirred it up, and let it cool. For the plain gelatin mixture, boil two tablespoons of vinegar, and add one package of plain gelatin. For the glue mixture, mix equal parts of glue and vinegar.

  • Step 3

Now was the time to get creative! We cut up pretty paper, drew some, printed some....

  • Step 4

Then we applied a double coat of adhesive to the back of the papers and let them dry thoroughly. Light paper will curl, so you can just flatten it with a book when thoroughly dry; we used heavy paper, and they didn't curl at all. To use the stickers, just lick the backs and stick them on whatever you like.

  • Final result!

Put the lid on the jar of adhesive, and store it in the fridge.... when you need it again, just heat it up in a pan of hot water. I think it will be a while before Maddie uses up all of her sticker ideas!
