Snacks in jars for Father's Day are always a hit, but we made them extra special by adding little pieces of my children's art to the top of each jar.

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

We went shopping for some "Dad" snacks. My kids love to point out all of their Dad's favorites. Next, we found some special artwork we wanted to use for our jars.

  • Step 2

The kids filled several jars with different snacks. They enjoyed a few of the sweet treats while they were at it!

  • Step 3

We used the inner lid of the mason jar to trace onto our artwork. If you don't have art handy, you can use blank paper and have the children create something special.

  • Step 4

I helped the kids with some of the cutting and we fit them right on top of each jar.

  • Step 5

The outer lid held the art in place, but you could also use some double-sided tape if you use a standard jar.

  • Final result!

A basket was the perfect place to hold our snacks for Dad. This would be a fun one to have the kids deliver right to their Dad's office!
