Summer Journal

My daughter kept a journal all year in kindergarten this past school year. I loved the idea and thought it was a great way to get children writing creatively. I thought continuing with the journal throughout the summer would be a wonderful way to keep her writing and capture some great memories.

  • Step 1

Storytelling paper works great for this. That way a younger child can also draw pictures in their journals. You can also just draw lines on blank sheets of paper.

Her first entry. I have a feeling this will be going into the special treasure box after summer. I plan to do this each summer and save them for her for years to come.
