Letter Pasta Art

As my five-year-old is learning to read, I am always looking for interesting ways to incorporate letters into her crafts and play. This one was super fun for her. She loved digging through the pasta in search of the letter she needed and putting her letters together to make cards for the family.

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

    If you have some heavy paper on hand, you have a card to make! We usually always make our cards; it's so easy!

  • Step 2

    Once Emma cut out a few squares and layered them with some pasta, she got to work searching through the letters.

  • Step 3

    She carefully placed each letter, asking me each step of the way if she was spelling her words correctly.

  • Final result!

    Emma melts my heart--she's such a Daddy's girl! These cards are so unique and original. I can't wait to use this card-making technique for birthdays!
