Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

You need to start this one a few days before by collecting and pressing flowers and allowing them to dry. We actually have a flower press but if you don't have one an old-fashioned dictionary or phone book works great! Just place paper towels in between the pages and limit it to 2-3 flowers (depending on the size) per page.

  • Step 2

Next, lay out a small glass vase or a glass jar. We found these vases at the dollar store. Take a small amount of Mod Podge glue and spread down a bit of a base with your sponge brush.

  • Step 3

Next, gently lay your flower on the glue base and lightly coat it with more Mod Podge.

  • Step 4

Even out the edges if your child needs help and don't worry- the Mod Podge will dry clear!

Set the vase aside to dry and enjoy your pretty flower vase! Maybe you can even give it away as a gift!
