Step 1
Gather your materials.

Mark two symmetrical x’s on one side of your box, towards the top (near the opening). Repeat on the opposite side.
Step 3
Drill holes where you marked an x. We used ¼” holes, based on our plant size.
Step 4
Cut your rope into two pieces. Each piece should be about double the distance from the ceiling to your plant. We cut two 60” pieces, because we want our planter to hang down about 30”.
Step 5
Thread the two ends of one rope through the holes on one side of the box. Tie in a square knot to secure. Repeat on the other side.
Step 6
Put your plant in the box and hold up your planter by the two strings. If it hangs evenly, congrats, you are done! If it hangs crookedly, adjust the ropes so that the planter is level, and then tie the strings together near the top to lock it in.
