This apple stamp art has an extra special touch that makes it a perfect gift for a new teacher! My children love when they get to create with new materials--like food!

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

    I cut our apple in half widthwise to show the wonderful star shape. We pulled out the seeds and saved them for later use.

  • Step 2

    Next, we used a foam brush to cover the apple halves with paint and stamped them directly to the canvas.

  • Step 3

    We tried to keep colors separate on our canvas for a teacher, but afterward my two-year had a go and stamped away, as he should!

  • Step 4

    Once our canvas was dry my daughter glued a couple of the apple seeds we saved right onto each apple print. This was a great addition to this art.

  • Final result!

    We thought this would make a great gift for a new teacher.
