Flag Garlands

During international competitions, my kids love pointing out all the countries they can recognize and seeing each of the uniformed teams proudly waving their country's flag. Create a simple flag garland using geometric paper shapes, and hang them for display. We started out with creating existing flags, but decided it was more fun to design our own! If you could create your own country and design the flag, what would it look like?
