Flower Monogram Signs

I set up this craft to make a beautiful "E" for my daughter's room, but she had an even better idea--to make a 6 for her upcoming birthday party! What a beautiful way to greet guests at the door.

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

We pulled out artificial flowers right off the stems. Some needed a little snip to make them flat.

  • Step 2

Next, we wrote a 6 on our canvas. We also made an E for my daughter's name. It looks great hanging in her room.

  • Step 3

We used hot glue to attach each flower. (My daughter has been practicing using a hot glue gun under my close supervision, but if your child is not ready for this I think tacky glue should work just fine.)

  • Step 4

We kept the flowers close together so they would form the number shape clearly and also cover up the marker.

  • Final result!

That's our E! I love how simple and beautiful these turned out. It would be fun to make an entire name or even spell out "Happy Birthday!"
