Step-by-step tutorial
Step 1
We used dot paints to paint our fireworks, but any kind of paint will work for this.
Step 2
First, we stacked our sticks in a star shape, adding a dot of tacky glue with each stick.
Step 3
Next, we used some more tacky glue to add ribbon to the back of the star shape. This creates the look of a shooting firework. The kids loved this part.
Step 4
Once they were dry we added some color. My two-year-old loves using dot painters. They are easy for him to use and we have a set that smells really yummy!
Final result!
They turned out great. This was a great way to get ready for some real fireworks!
