Popsicle Stick Fireworks

This festive and simple firework craft would be fun for any Fourth of July gathering. It is very inexpensive and fun for all ages.

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

    We used dot paints to paint our fireworks, but any kind of paint will work for this.

  • Step 2

    First, we stacked our sticks in a star shape, adding a dot of tacky glue with each stick.

  • Step 3

    Next, we used some more tacky glue to add ribbon to the back of the star shape. This creates the look of a shooting firework. The kids loved this part.

  • Step 4

    Once they were dry we added some color. My two-year-old loves using dot painters. They are easy for him to use and we have a set that smells really yummy!

  • Final result!

    They turned out great. This was a great way to get ready for some real fireworks!
