Heart Luminaries

Valentine's Day is such a sweet and fun holiday for crafting. We made this very precious heart votive jar as a way to decorate our home. It is very warm and calming when it's lit. I think it would make a great gift as well.

  • Step 4

She used a wooden tool to carve out the clay inside the hearts. Leaving heart cut outs which will be the windows to our candle light. When all of the hearts were done we set our jar to dry over night.

The next day we painted the clay (not the heart openings) with a red acrylic paint.
