Super Healthy Cookie

I love baking with my kids, but am always struggling to find healthy recipes to make together. This one gets the kids hands-on in the kitchen and is a healthy snack that everyone loves! I just love when that happens.

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

    I preheated the oven to 350 degrees and my daughter grabbed a large mixing bowl. We gathered the ingredients and got to work.

  • Step 2

    She peeled the bananas and started mashing them with a potato masher. She loves this part! You want them to be mashed very well.

  • Step 3

    Once the bananas were mashed, we added all the other ingredients except for the chocolate bar. She mixed and mixed while I chopped the chocolate bar into small pieces.

  • Step 4

    We added in the bits of chocolate and gave the batter another quick mix.

  • Step 5

    We dropped tablespoon-sized cookies onto a baking sheet and placed in the oven for about 20 minutes or until slightly golden on the bottom.

  • Final result!

    She could hardly wait for these to cool! Yum! The best healthy cookie ever!
