Warning
The cut edges of aluminum trays can be very sharp! Use caution when handling it.
Step 1
Gather your materials!
Step 2
Cut the edges off of the aluminum tray so that only the bottom remains. Then, trim the edges of any burrs (rough edges).
Step 3
On the short edge of the tray, mark as many 2 ½ inch wide strips as possible.
Step 4
Cut the strips out.
Step 5
Draw a dotted line down the middle of the strip lengthwise.
Step 6
Fold each long edge into the dotted line. Then, flatten with the edge of your marker.
Step 7
Fold the strip in half lengthwise. Then, flatten again with the edge of your marker.
Step 8
Draw the shape(s) you want your cookies to look like on a piece of paper. This will be your cookie cutter template. Don’t worry if the shapes aren’t perfect, it’s just a guideline!

Using the template as your guide, bend and fold the strips of aluminum into the shapes you want.
