Chocolate Bowl

Waking up to this chocolate bowl on Mother's Day morning would definitely put a smile on my face...and making the bowl put an even bigger smile on my daughter's face!

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

    We blew up our balloon to a small size and rinsed the outside with water. We wanted a little bowl that wouldn't break easily.

  • Step 2

    I melted the chocolate chips in the microwave. Be sure to stir every 15 seconds or so. They can melt fast!

  • Step 3

    I made sure the chocolate wasn't too hot and Emma dipped the top part of the balloon into the chocolate. I had her do this a couple times to make a thick bowl.

  • Step 4

    We placed it on a plate lined with wax paper and popped it in the freezer.

  • Step 5

    Once the chocolate was hardened we took it out and popped the balloon. It easily pulled away from the chocolate.

  • Final result!

    Emma was thrilled with her bowl and loved filling it with berries. Look how fancy it looks!
