Star-Spangled Fruit Pops

Not ready for summer to end? Brighten up your day with some refreshing, star-spangled fruit pops! It was an easy and quick DIY to enjoy the last bit of summer fruit and bring a touch of festive fun to the holiday weekend.

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

    To start making this treat, have an adult cut your watermelon in half, and then into large 1/2" thick slices.

  • Step 2

    Use your star cookie cutters to punch out your watermelon stars!

  • Step 3

    Carefully place your star in your popsicle mold, and pour lemonade into your mold, leaving extra room for the blueberries and popsicle handle.

  • Step 4

    Drop some blueberries into the popsicle mold.

  • Step 5

    Stick the popsicle handle into the mold. Make sure your molds are secure to avoid any spillage. Put them in the freezer until they're ready to enjoy!

  • Step 6

    After our first few molds were set, we created other patriotic designs, such as a blue and red striped popsicle! To create colorful stripes, cut out watermelon bars and layer them with blueberries.
