Create this simple and easy spider web in your home.

Lay 2 four-legged chairs on their back as shown in the picture.  Take the white thread and wrap it around the chair legs to create a "web."

Then cut a few straws into pieces that are about 1-2 inches long.  Cut one side of the straw lengthwise. Open the straw and put it on the web. Repeat with the other pieces.

Using black paper, create a spider. Attach it to one of the straws with glue and allow to dry. Then attach it to the web as done earlier.

Then have your child move the spider and the various straws around and around the web.

Finally, when you are done and ready to clean up, allow your child to practice his small motor skills by cutting away the web. This was by far my child's favorite part!

Why buy Halloween decorations when you can have your kids make really cool ones? This 3-D Yarn Spider Web is fun to make and will turn heads this Halloween!

Gather supplies and prep area with newspapers--this one is a little messy! Blow up the balloon slightly (you don't need a large balloon for this web).

Spray the balloon with a light even coat of oil. This will help the yarn from not sticking to the balloon later on.

Pour glue into a large bowl. Note: You will use almost a full bottle of glue for this project. So let your kid squirt away!

Gather about 50 feet (15.2 m)&nbsp;of yarn and toss it in the bowl of glue. You want the yarn soaked in glue, so mix the yarn a lot and make sure it is all covered.

Wrap the yarn around the balloon in various directions and multiple times. The more wraps you do, the stronger it will be.

Once the balloon is covered, hang it overnight to dry.

In the morning, pop the balloon and decorate the web with plastic spiders. Now admire the web you've weaved!

These are the sweetest spiders you'll ever encounter. Our kid testing 
crew had a blast making--and eating--their eight-legged treats. They 
especially went googly for the googly eyes. One spider had more eyes 
than legs!

First, get together your supplies. Luckily, it's a short list!

Start with four pipe cleaners and a lollipop.

Wrap the pipe cleaners around the base of the lollipop and twist tightly
 to secure the wire. (Younger kids may need some grownup assistance 
twisting the pipe cleaners tight.)

Spread out each pipe cleaner and bend each tip.

Stick googly eyes on the "head" and have fun! Our kid testing crew loved
 creeping and crawling all of over each other with their new furry 
friends.

Our kids love helping in the kitchen--so, when I saw&nbsp;<a href="http://www.momendeavors.com/2010/10/spider-web-snacks.html">this darling and delicious project from Mom Endeavors</a>, I knew we just had to try them. Making them is a very special treat! Trust me: it's hard to go wrong with a craft that involves two kinds of chocolate!

Gather the supplies and get ready for some yummy fun!

Put the chocolate chips in the zip-lock bags. Fill two glasses with hot water and immerse the bag in the water to melt it.  FYI: 1 cup of chocolate chips makes 4-5 treats.

Lay out a piece of wax paper and organize pretzels in a web-like shape.

Cut a small hole in a corner of the bag and squeeze out some white chocolate on the center of the web. Then make the web by squeezing out three circles.

Place two raisins on the center of the web.

Now is the time to make the spooky spider. Squeeze some of the melted chocolate out in the center and make the spider the desired size. We live in Florida so we made the spiders pretty big (and we love chocolate!).

Next place the spooky snacks in the refrigerator for a few minutes.

Once the chocolate is hard, peel of the wax paper, admire your creation...then taste your delicious treat!

A simple spider craft that's great for Halloween, made with egg cartons, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, and paint! Note that the actual assembly time is short for this project, but you'll need to factor in time to let the paint dry.

Cut a cell out of the egg carton. This will be your spider's body.Paint the outside of the egg carton with black paint and let the paint dry. Then punch holes on the sides of each spider body for the legs.

Use googly eyes and a white/light colored pencil to decorate your spider's face.

Cut the pipe cleaners to make legs. Make a little bend on the end of the each leg. (This will be to make sure the legs don't fall out.)

Thread the bended end of the leg into the body of the spider.

Repeat with all remaining legs. Ta-da! A fuzzy spider to add some pizzazz to your Halloween party.

Here's a fun (and super easy) Halloween craft from last year that the kids really enjoyed.

Cut out a circle/oval shape from black paper for the spider's body, then cut out strips of black paper to make the spider's legs.

You can leave the spider as is or attach a string to the top of the spider to hang around the house. Happy Halloween!

Add some creepy crawlers to your Halloween decor this year with a simple and fun spider craft made from pipe cleaners and beads. My 3-year-old daughter, Clare, had a great time picking the bead colors and putting them on the legs. After we were done, I let her help pick the places to display them around the house. They haven't stayed there long though--she loves picking them up and playing with them.

Gather your supplies. You can use any colors you want for the material, but to make it more spooky, I would stick with black, orange, and yellow.

Hold 4 pipe cleaners in one hand and bend them in half. Then twist them together in the middle to create a loop for the spider's "body." Twist a couple times to make sure the pipe cleaners are secure. Depending on your kid's age, you may need to do this for them. While I twisted Clare's,  I had her pick out the beads she wanted to put on the spider.

Have your child separate the legs (and count them as you go). We made a few of these so Clare got some good counting fun in!

Have your child slide beads onto each leg in various positions. This was great for Clare's fine motor skills. To keep the beads from sliding off, just bend the legs to create "joints". Once all 8 legs are done, flip the spider over and admire your Halloween creation!
