Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

This was our first time making a paper roll elf. My children and I looked through our art drawers to find the materials we thought would work to make our little elf as cute as can be!

  • Step 2

First with a piece of tape and a small piece of wrapping paper, we gave him some clothes. My daughter got busy cutting the felt pieces into little elf feet, ears, and a hat.

  • Step 3

With a little glue, we added the ears, shoes, and wrapped a large piece of felt around the top to become a hat.

  • Step 4

For a little more elf flare, we added two fuzzy pipe cleaners to the hat. We wrapped one piece around the base, and used the other to close the top.

With a drawn-on face and a pipe cleaner scarf, this elf was ready for the North Pole!
