Step-by-step tutorial
Step 1
You can use any egg dye you would like for this. I just made a simple one with 3/4 cup hot water, 2 tsp of vinegar and a few drops of food color. Very basic.
Step 2
I had the kids draw right on the eggs with the oil pastels. The eggs were a little warm still and it seemed to make the color even more vibrant and bold.
Step 3
They loved drawing right on the eggs and were so proud of each one they made. After making a dozen eggs Emma asked me to hard boil some more eggs!
Step 4
Once we had our egg art complete they went right in our mugs full of color.
Step 5
The kids liked to keep checking until they saw their desired color.
Final result!
I think these were the prettiest eggs we have ever made!
