Step-by-step tutorial
Step 1
Start by grabbing your pom pom winder. (This one's from Kiwi Crate!) Tie some colored yarn in a knot on one end.
Step 2
Next, keep winding the yarn around the winder. The more yarn you use the bigger the pom pom will be.
Step 3
My daughter said she was getting tired so I wound the rest of the yarn for her. She told me to stop here.
Step 4
Adult time! Take the yarn that is hanging and loop it around the middle and tie a knot so that the yarn almost looks split in half.
Step 5
Now, pull off the yarn from the winder. My daughter was proud that she did it herself!
Step 6
Next, take your scissors and snip all the loops on either side so that all the yarn is sticking out.
Step 7
My daughter got in some great cutting practice here!
Step 8
Take the string part that you left behind when you tied it in the middle and tie it to your Easter basket handle.
Step 9
My daughter wanted to decorate more but didn't want to make another pom pom so she started winding the yarn around the handle of the basket.
Final result!
We think it turned out so pretty! Happy Easter!
