Heart Butterflies

We love Valentine's Day and everything heart-shaped. My kids had a lot of fun making some cute little butterflies with some cutout hearts. My daughter called them "lover-flies"!

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

    First, gather your supplies. We used red construction paper, and fun-colored pipe cleaners to make the butterflies extra special.

  • Step 2

    Start by cutting out hearts. Older kids could easily do this themselves. You will need 2 hearts for every butterfly.

  • Step 3

    Add glue to the heart so you can glue both hearts together at the bottoms.

  • Step 4

    Tape or glue the pipe cleaners on as antenna. Use markers to decorate the wings.

  • Final result!

    Your butterflies are ready to fly!
