Gather your plain white sheets of paper, watercolor paints, and brushes.

Paint a variety of patterns on your papers. Stripes, polka dots, circles, zig-zags, etc. Allow to dry.
Final result!
Once your pattern papers are dry, cut out heart shapes from them. They can be in a variety of shapes and sizes or all be the same. Hang your hearts from a length of string using clothespins to display.
