Heart-Shaped Popcorn Birdfeeder

These pretty little hearts couldn't be more simple to make, and the fact that they will feed the birds will surely make young crafters happy!

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

    I came up with this idea a few years ago. Maddie likes it because sometimes stringing long strands of popcorn and berries can be a bit exhausting for a little girl, but she does so love to make things for her animal friends!

  • Step 2

    Cut a length of wire about 12-15 inches long.

  • Step 3

    Bend one end of the wire to make a stopping point for your strand.

  • Step 4

    String on your popcorn. Make sure to eat any pieces that fall of your wire...very important!

  • Step 5

    All the way to the end...

  • Final result!

    Then we shaped the heart and bent the ends together to close it. You may choose to hang it with the end of the wire or put a pretty ribbon on it. Happy Valentine's Day!
