All things tiny are loved in our house! When we made these sweet little eggs they went straight to the fairy house. I think that was the perfect spot for them.

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

We used a pale blue oven bake clay, but it would be fun to do an assortment of colors. I preheated the oven to 275 degrees per my clay instructions.

  • Step 2

First, the kids worked the clay a little bit to soften it. Then they each took small amounts and rolled them in between their hands to make an egg shape.

  • Step 3

We placed all of our eggs on a parchment lined baking sheet and baked for about 15 minutes.

  • Step 4

Once they were cool the kids insisted on adding some specks, just like a real egg. They did this by using a very small amount of paint to make spots on the egg and while still wet rolling it between their hands. This gave it a very realistic look.
