Flower Wreaths

Thankfully, we've been getting a lot of rain in our area, so our garden has been in full bloom this spring. I decided to take advantage of the lushness to create flower wreaths -- just in time for Mother's Day! This project would work just as well with fake or store-bought flowers and greens.

  • Step 2

Use your floral wire to create the base for your wreath. Continue to loosely wrap the floral wire to create a thicker, sturdier base. The extra wire will help secure flower stems in place.Tip: You can also use pipe cleaners for this step, which might be an easier material for younger kids to use.

  • Step 3

Cut stalks of floral greens and thread them through the wire to add fullness to the wreath base. Tuck the stems into the wire or trim any excess as needed.

Once the base of the wreath is finished, decorate the wreath with bright, cheery flowers.
