Step-by-step tutorial
Step 1
Poke 4 small holes in the bottom of the milk jug.
Step 2
Bury the bottom of the jug next to the plant you want to water. The holes should be underground.
Step 3
Fill the jug with a garden hose. Leave the cap off for easy refills, or place it back on loosely to prevent dirt and leaves from getting in. If you screw the cap on, you might need to cut some air vents near the top of the jug.
Final result!
After you make your drippers, test them out and tweak them. The speed of the drips can vary depending on your soil and how big you made the holes. If the water drips too fast, add a layer of sand to the bottom of the jug.
If it drips too slowly, poke a few more holes in the bottom.
