Confetti Launcher

There simply is no better way to ring in a new year or celebrate a holiday or a special occasion than with a shower of confetti. Create these confetti launchers to do just that!

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

    Gather your materials.

  • Tip

    We used one wide mouth tube and one small mouth tube.If your cardboard tubes are the same size, cut one open lengthwise. Then, overlap the seam and tape it back together so that it fits into the other roll.

  • Step 2

    Draw two lines about ½” (1.3 cm) apart along one end of the larger tube. Repeat on the other side of this edge. Then, cut along these lines.

  • Step 3

    Insert the rubber band into the slits as pictured.

  • Step 4

    Place a craft stick on the other end of the larger tube. Then, loop the other side of the rubber band around the ends of the craft stick.

  • Step 5

    Trace the bottom of the smaller tube onto the cardstock. Then, cut it out and glue it onto one end of the smaller tube.

  • Step 6

    Cover the tubes with decorative paper.

  • Step 7

    Insert the smaller tube into the larger tube and glue the closed end of it to the middle of the popsicle stick. Let it dry for at least one hour.

  • Step 8

    Place confetti into the smaller tube. Then, pull back on the craft stick.

  • Final result!

    Let the craft stick go to launch your confetti!
