DIY Water Sprinkler

This DIY Sprinkler is the perfect way to stay wet and have fun on a hot day!

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

    Adult step: Poke holes into the bottom half of an empty plastic container. I used a hammer and a nail to poke the holes into an empty juice bottle. You could also use a drill or a tack to make the holes.

  • Step 2

    Put your hose into the container and use duct tape to secure it.

  • Step 3

    If your holes are just on the sides of the container, the water sprays out like a shower. If you put holes in the bottom of the container it dumps out more aggressively.

  • Step 4

    We draped our hose over the basketball hoop to make our DIY sprinkler like a shower. You could also hang it from a deck or lay it flat in the grass to run through.

  • Final result!

    They both had so much fun splashing, pretending, and running through the DIY sprinkler!
