Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

We did this on a warm day and it was the perfect answer to our afternoon. It took me seconds to set-up and the kids loved it! You can use any large container. I like to have these Rubbermaid bins on hand for sensory fun tables. They work great!

  • Step 2

The kids helped me by adding a few drops of liquid watercolors to the bin. Next, they enjoyed adding water with the hose. Something about the hose always makes them happy.

  • Step 3

Sea animal figurines are great fun in this ocean. Shells, rocks and small containers would be great, too.

  • Final result!

They played with this for a long time and continued to visit it for several days. There were a lot of animal rescue scenes happening. I love seeing their imaginations in full force!
