Glitter Slime Monsters

Who doesn't love a good blob of slime? My kids and I were excited when we realized we could use clear glue to make transparent slime, and even more excited when we started adding glitter. Today, we upped our game yet again to transform our slime into cute Halloween monsters. Here's how we did it.

  • Step 3

Dump your blob out onto your plate, and start kneading it with your hands. If it is too sticky add a small amount of liquid starch (around one-quarter tsp) at a time and keep kneading. Make sure you knead thoroughly before adding more.

  • Tip

Be sure you don't add too much starch, or rather than stretch, it will quickly get a bit stiff and start to snap when pulled apart. Play with your slime!

  • Step 4

When you are ready to store your slime, place it into your jar, and close it tightly to keep your slime fresh. Your slime should fill most of the jar.

  • Final result!

Now decorate your little monsters! We glued googly eyes on the containers and taped pipe cleaners on the lids to make antennas. How crazy can you make your slime monsters?
